杨传平男,汉族,1957年4月生,山东省夏津县人,1984年4月加入中国共产党,1974年7月参加工作,1980年1月于东北林学院林学系林业专业毕业。博士,教授,博士生导师。
  1993年获国务院政府特殊津贴,中国林学会梁希奖(第二届);1994年获“国家级有突出贡献的中青年专家”称号;1995年获“黑龙江省优秀中青年专家”称号;1996年获国家“八五”科技攻关先进个人奖;1999年被国家人事部批准为“国家百千万人才工程”一、二层次人选;1995年被林业部批准为林业部跨世纪学术带头人;2001年获国家“九五”科技攻关先进个人奖;2002年获中国林学会梁希奖(第四届)。先后获得国家科技进步二等奖3项,省部级科技进步一等奖3项、二等奖7项、三等奖5项,地市级科技进步奖7项。东北林业大学第一、二、三、四、五届学术名师获得者。2009年获国家教学名师奖和全国绿化奖章。2010年获全国生态建设突出贡献奖和“全国优秀科技工作者”荣誉称号。2014年获海峡两岸林业敬业奖。2015年获黑龙江省级领军人才梯队带头人。2017年获中国林学会梁希科学技术二等奖(第八届)。2018年获中国林学会梁希科学一等技术奖(第九届)。2019年获批黑龙江省“头雁”计划项目林木遗传育种创新团队负责人。发表论文、专著300余篇(部)。在白桦的遗传改良和强化育种、主要针叶用材树种种源试验、林木基因工程等研究中取得了突出成就。科研成果在中国林业生产与实践中得到了应用和推广,并取得较大的经济及社会效益。
  杨传平教授同时担任中国遗传学会理事兼黑龙江省遗传学会副理事长;黑龙江省林学会副理事长兼学术委员会主任;东北内蒙古林区林木遗传育种研究会主任委员;国家林木良种审定委员会兼用材林专业委员会主任;中国林学会林木遗传育种分会/中国遗传学会 主任委员/常务理事;国务院学位办第七届林学科评议组召集人之一;中国林业百科全书总编纂委员会/林木遗传育种卷 副主任/主编;教育部科技委农林学部委员/副主任;国家林草局种质资源专家技术委员会委员;亚太农业蛋白质组学组织(AOAPO)理事。
